Many toothpastes out there contain some special ingrediants that can wear away children’s tooth’s enamel. By choosing an ADA or American Dental Association toothpaste is recommended whenever you can. These toothpastes have been consecutively and comprehensively tested to ensure that they are both effective and safe for use.
The American Dental Association suggests that for a child under the age of two years old, to not allow them to use toothpaste that has fluoride within it. Children at this age do not know how to spit out the toothpaste.
Once your child has past two years old, you should include fluoride toothpaste as part of their daily routine for preventing any possible tooth decay.
